At the end of October, a large-scale Halloween event for cosplayers, “Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Festival 2024 Powered by dwango,” was held for the 11th year, and 161,000 people visited.

At the “Ikehalo Special Ceremony,” Toshima Ward Mayor Miyuki Takagiwa also took the stage, and the highlight of the event was a parade of about 400 cosplayers, who marched along the route from Sunshine 60 Street to Hareza Ikebukuro. The crowd was very lively as they paraded around.

Kitaro, a popular cosplayer living in China, participated in the event for the first time. They performed “MEMcho” from the anime “Oshinoko,” watched the parade, and participated in a large festival they happened to come across, and seemed to have a lot of fun.
