The “Prince of Tennis Exhibition” is currently being held at Space Galleria on the 8th floor of Animate Ikebukuro Main Store, where you can fully experience the worldview of “Prince of Tennis.” A photo report has just arrived, writing about the venue.

“Tennis Prince,” also known as “The Prince of Tennis,” is a manga written by Konomi Takeshi, based on the tennis club activities of junior high schools. The story follows the story of the protagonist Echizen Ryoma, who has entered a prestigious junior high school in tennis, joins the tennis club and advances to the team competition in an attempt to win the national tournament.

The TV anime “The Prince of Tennis” began airing in October 2001, and will be held events and theatrical versions. It continues to be supported by many fans, and in October 2021 it celebrated its 20th anniversary. In July 2022, the first TV series in 10 years, “The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP,” was broadcast, and from October 2024, “The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL” was broadcast.

This event, which allows you to fully experience the world of TennisPri, is full of highlights, including setting materials for each character, elaborately crafted sculptures, and displays of recreational works from the story.

■Have you entered the world of TennisPri!? A dream space filled with attention to detail

After passing through the entrance, the main character, Ryoma, was waiting. The elaborately crafted standing statues are displayed in display with scene photos. From the impressive exhibition, you can almost hear Ryoma say, “There’s still a long way to go.”

Follow the steps in the direction Ryoma’s racket pointing to you and head to the setting materials section. The setting materials and scene photos of the characters compiled by each school are a must-see. This cannot be featured in photos, so I hope you will be able to experience the story of this work locally.

In the middle of the setting materials section, there is an exhibition recreating the rooms of Sadaharu and Hideko from the short story “The Tenipuri Family.” You can look back at the slapstick comedy in which members of Seigaku play the family along with scene photos.

In the photo spot corner, we discovered an exhibition recreating the lockers of the members of Seigaku. There are things that symbolize each character, such as Kaido’s bandana and Momoshiro’s hamburgers. And in Inui’s locker, the familiar “dry soup” is…!

Momoshiro’s bicycle is on display across from the locker. The cityscape in the background combines with the sight of Momoshiro and Ryoma as two people. Ryoma’s beloved cat, Calpin, also rides in a basket, and his heart is amazed by the cuteness and the quality of the original recreation!

There is also a statue of “Golden Tezuka” from the movie “The Prince of Tennis: Two Samurai: The First Game.” The story recreates the performance of the story, in which the “Tezuka Zone” attraction, which pulls any opponent’s return to himself, attracts even a meteorite, destroying the dinosaur.

On a scale that would make you want to involuntarily mutter “That’s too big…”, I could feel the intimidation and spirit of facing Tezuka as your opponent.

If you continue further, you will see a standalone exhibition featuring original illustrations for this event. Why not try taking a photo with eight characters on the tennis court?

At the end of the exhibition corner, Atobe Keigo, the king of Hyotei Academy, will see you off. There was also a corner where you can enjoy a digest along with the classic background music “Serious Mode,” a message corner where you can write down your impressions of visiting, and a mini-game corner where you can try defeating serve cans, making it a charming exhibition.

In the merchandise section, commemorative items such as acrylic stands, stickers, trading clear cards, and jerseys are on sale. There are also many unique merchandise available, including a happi coat featuring the shouts from each school, and a made-to-order product called “Atobe Keigo’s ‘I see, it’s time for a toast!” drink set.”

In addition, if you purchase over 1,000 yen (tax included) you will receive a bonus sticker (50 types each) whose design changes depending on the period, and one bonus shopping card (15 types in total) for 3,000 yen (tax included) or more.

If you purchase over 5,000 yen (tax included), you will receive the serial code for the lottery for the TenniPriFesta 2025 Support (Ale) to be held in September 2025.

The “Prince of Tennis Exhibition” allows you to feel the world of Tennis Prince through setting materials, standing statues of Ryoma, Tezuka, and Atobe, and recreational exhibitions. The characters I admire are right in front of me. Once you see such a photo spot, you won’t be able to stop taking photos. Be sure to visit the venue and plunge into the world of Tennipuri!

The “Prince of Tennis Exhibition” will be held until Monday, May 26th, 2025.
