It has been announced that the movie “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” will be broadcast for the first time on terrestrial TV, uncut, on Fuji TV from 7pm on December 31, 2024. A worldwide blockbuster movie created by a dream collaboration between Nintendo and Illumination will be released on New Year’s Eve 2024.
“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” is an animated film based on “Super Mario,” a worldwide hit game series created by Nintendo. The great adventure of familiar brothers Mario and Luigi with Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, and others is depicted on a grand scale unique to the movie, while retaining the world of the game.
Mario and Luigi are twin brothers who work as plumbers in Brooklyn, New York. One day, while repairing water pipes, the two wander into a mysterious world through a mysterious clay pipe and become separated. Mario arrives at the Mushroom Kingdom, receives help from Toad, a resident of the kingdom, and is trained by the strong-willed leader Princess Peach to demonstrate his powers.
