Transformers is now available in Japan for the first time in 10 years! Streamed on YouTube from March 26th

It has been announced that Takara Tomy’s transforming robot character, Transformers, will be streamed on Takara Tomy’s official YouTube channel, “Takara Tomy Channel” from March 26th, 2025. This is the first new Japanese-original Transformers anime in 10 years, and the first toy series will be released on April 26th.
Transformers, which has been loved for a long time, celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024, is a “Japanese toy” content created by Takara Tomy. The seventh live-action film, “Transformers: The Beast Awakening,” was released in 2023, and the new film, “Transformers: The Beast Awakening,” and the new real CG movie, “Transformers: ONE,” were released in 2024 for the second consecutive year, making it an increasing number of children’s fans.
This year’s “Transformers: Wild King” was introduced in response to this, and with the desire to help children enjoy the world of “Transformers,” it will be released as a new anime and toy series produced in Japan for the first time in 10 years.
To allow children to watch it easily as many times as they like, the series will be distributed on YouTube in a short anime format, with approximately 6 minutes including the toy introduction part.
The new short anime series, “Transformers: Wild King,” features the popular “Optimus Prime” and “Megatron” as the main characters, with the new animal and dinosaur transformers, “Energy Beasts,” and battles on the mysterious planet Element Loss.
The highlight is “Wild Docking,” where the “Energy Beasts” transform and combine with “Optimus Prime” and “Megatron.” This work is packed with elements that will make children fall in love with, with “a huge gathering of animals, dinosaurs, cars, and robots” and “impressive transformation and combined scenes” appearing.
In addition, a new “Transformers: Wild King” toy series will be released in conjunction with this new short anime. A total of eight types, including the first in the series, “WKS-01 Optimus Prime & Light Long Wild Docking Set,” will be released from April 26th at toy specialty stores nationwide, department stores and mass retailers, online shops, and Takara Tomy’s official shopping site, Takara Tomy Mall. Please note that reservations will begin at Takara Tomy Mall from March 18th, so be sure to check them out as soon as possible.
