In addition, a collaboration has been decided with the fighting game “Street Fighter 6” sold by Capcom. It has been announced that Senbongi Ayaka and Shimoji Shimoji Shimoji will appear as additional cast members, and comments have been received.

“It was a counterpart. “The Young Lady Doesn’t Play Fighting Games” is based on a manga that Ejima Eri is currently serialized in “Monthly Comic Flapper,” and depicts the play of a passionate fighting game that unfolds at a young ladies’ school. It was also made into a live-action drama on NTT Docomo’s “Lemino” in 2023, and the comics are counted in eight volumes already published.

Fukatsuki Aya, a commoner who has enrolled in a girls’ school, admired Yoe Mio, also known as Shirayuri-sama, the most popular figure on the school. However, one day, Aya witnesses Mio playing a fighting game in an empty classroom. Mio also noticed that Aya is a fighting gamer. Playing games on campus is strictly prohibited. Still, the two want to fight now. Thus, the young ladies’ passionate fighting game life is turned down.

This film is currently exhibiting at EVO Japan 2025, Japan’s largest fighting game festival, which has been held since May 9, 2025, and the teaser PV has been released. The main characters, Fukatsuki Aya (CV: Hasegawa Ikumi) and Yoe Mio (CV: Ichinose Kana) are shown fighting passionately in a fighting game.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that the fighting game the two are Street Fighter 6, sold by Capcom. It has been revealed that Street Fighter 6 will be collaborating in the anime series.

We also received information about the anime production staff. The director will be Ibata Shota, who has worked on Kamonohashi Ron’s Forbidden Deduction and Girlish Number. The animation will be produced by Diomedia, which has worked on many popular works such as “Kamonohashi Ron’s Forbidden Deduction” and “The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Lady.”
It has also been revealed that Senbongi Ayaka will also be appearing as an additional cast member, and Shimoji Shimoji Shimoji as the role of Ichinose Tamaki, and comments from each of them have been received that express their feelings about the work.
