The TV anime “Sword Art Online” has decided to hold a “Sword Art Online POP UP SHOP in AmiAmi vol.II,” an event that will be selling new merchandise based on the concept of “Water Gun Battle.” The event will be held for a limited time from May 16th to June 1st at two stores: AmiAmi Akihabara Radio Kaikan and AmiAmi Ikebukuro Mini Fair Goods Store.
The original work of “Sword Art Online (abbreviated as SAO)” is Kawahara Reki’s novel series of the same name, winning the Grand Prize at the 15th Dengeki Novel Awards and has sold over 30 million copies worldwide.
It depicts the exploits of the protagonist Kirito, set in a next-generation VRMMORPG, and the first volume of the original novel was released in April 2009, and TV anime has been broadcast for four series since 2012. It is a huge hit content that has developed a wide range of media mixes, with movie versions being released after 2017.
“Sword Art Online POP UP SHOP in AmiAmi vol.II” will be held, where Kirito, Asuna, Yuki, and Eugeo will pre-sell new merchandise using newly drawn illustrations of a Water Gun Battle.
Pre-order items for the event include four types of trading items, including “Trading Glitter Can Badges” and “Trading Acrylic Cards”, as well as “A3 Mat Processed Poster”, “BIG Acrylic Stand”, “Extra Large Acrylic Stand” and “Multi-Desk Mat”.
Each trading item will have a “event-only box purchase bonus”, and you can get bonuses for each item by purchasing the box.
Additionally, one “Event Purchase Bonus Illustration Card” (8 types in total) will be randomly distributed for every 2,000 yen (tax included) event-related products purchased during the period.
Each item will be on sale at a later date on the e-commerce site “AMNIBUS.” Details of the event can also be found on the special website.
