This isn’t just for you! The official sequel to “Gyoen Den Samulight Looper” will be aired in January 2014! Produced by Sunrise, “I feel a sense of firmness.”

It has been announced that the TV anime “Yoryushinden Samulightlooper,” which is the official sequel to the anime series “Yoryuden Samulightlooper,” will be aired from January 2026. With the announcement, super special footage, teaser visuals and staff information were revealed all at once. The main character, Kai, will be played by Ishibashi Yosa, who played the role of the main character Miguel in the Disney/Pixar film “Remember Me.”

“Yoryouden Samulight Looper” is a TV anime produced by Sunrise and aired from April 1988 to March 1989. The story depicts five boys with “Yoroi Gear” who are led by fate and come together to fight against an army of “Yoroi Gear” led by the evil emperor Arago.
In addition to three OVA works such as “Armorning Samulight Looper Gaiden” (1989), “Armorning Samulight Looper: The Legend of the Gilded Emperor” (1989-1990), and “Armorning Samulight Looper MESSAGE” (1991), there was also a comic adaptation of “Comic Bonbon” by Hoshino Ryuichi.

The recent “Yoryushinden Samulight Looper” was announced as a surprise to the audience who attended the “Yoryuden Samulight Looper Anniversary Screening” held on June 11th, 2025. The world of Yoroden Samulight Looper has gained overwhelming support, even after about 40 years since its broadcast began in 1988. The legitimate sequel will set in the current Shinjuku area, and a new story begins with a completely original story.

Under the director of “Gintama” and “Osomatsu-san,” the series is composed and written by Muto Shogo, who has worked on Sentai and special effects stories and live-action films such as “Kamen Rider Build,” the films “Crows ZERO,” and “Thermae Romae,” and the main character design is “Love Live! ‘Love Live! Murota Yuhei, the author of Sunshine!! and “Arya-san Next Door, Sometimes I’m Loud in Russian.”

The original idea for Yoroi Gear was brought together by Okamoto Hideo, who was in charge of the armor design for “Armorning Samulight Looper,” and recently, who was in charge of monster design for “SSSS.DYNAZENON.” The main character, Kai, will be cast as Ishibashi Yosa, who played the role of the main character Miguel in the Disney/Pixar film “Remember Me.”

The special video that was also unveiled also shows the people screaming, as the city is destroyed by someone’s work. It also includes a scene where the main character, Kai, transforms while screaming, “Armed! Scratching!!”, and is a irresistible finish for fans of the Yoroden Samulight Looper series.

Ishibashi, who was selected to play the main character, Kai, and SUNRISE Studios, also posted comments.
