The RPG series “Genso Suikoden” has been announced to be adapted into an anime, a stage adaptation of “Genso Suikoden I,” and a production and comic adaptation of the mobile game “Genso Suikoden STAR LEAP.”

The “Genso Suikoden” series is an RPG series developed by Konami Digital Entertainment. Since it was released in Japan in 1995, 11 titles have been released, including the main story and side stories. On March 6th, 2025, the first and second films in the series are scheduled to be released, “Genso Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: The Gate’s Emblem War/Dunan Unified War.”

Each work is intricately crafted and has a heavy story about war, with over 108 unique characters.

This announcement was revealed during the first broadcast of the official program “Genso Suikoden Live,” which brings you the latest information on the Genso Suikoden series. First, it has been decided that Genso Suikoden II, which will also be released as a remastered version, will be made into a TV anime. This will be the first TV anime produced and produced by KONAMI animation. The director is Sato Yuzo. Additional information such as broadcast dates will be announced on the official X of Genso Suikoden (formerly Twitter).

In addition, “Genso Suikoden I” has been decided to be made into a stage play. The series will be held in Tokyo and Kyoto in December 2025. The script and direction is by Nakayashiki Norihito.
Some of the cast have also been revealed, with Okamura Naoki playing the main character (Bocchan), Wada Takuma playing Gremio, Nagae Ryogyo playing Ted, Yamada James Takeshi playing the flick, and Isogai Ryuu playing Victor.

It has also been announced that the production of the completely new mobile game “Genso Suikoden STAR LEAP.” Set in the same world as in previous series, a new 108-star story unfolds with the true emblem, “The Emblem of Change,” as the key.

A teaser trailer is currently being released, introducing the story and characters in detail. The video also includes the theme song “Campanula” by musician Nakamura Kaho.

This work has already been decided to be made into a comic, and will be handled by Aki Shimizu, who also portrayed “Genso Suikoden III: The Heir of Fate.” The illustrations have been released, so it’s a must-see.

The program also handles information on goods such as the release of Perfect Guide, the remastered version of “108 Star Character Guide,” and other merchandise information such as Botchan’s “Nendoroid,” and LINE stamps. It’s also a must-see for its launch at stores nationwide, including original goods released at Animate Akihabara store, prize products, and collaborations with Karaoke Pasela.
