“New Star Galverse” is a unique blend of nostalgic anime and gal culture from the 90s! Released in the summer of 2025

The original anime “Shinsei Galverse” has been decided to be released. The release date is scheduled for the summer of 2025, with staff and advance scene cuts also being announced.

“New Star Galverse” is an anime project centered around creator Ohira Ayaka. In April 2022, the company raised funds on OpenSea, the world’s largest NFT platform, and received support from over 4,000 fans.
The main staff is Ohira Ayaka, the original work, general director, and the character design. The film is co-director Takamura Yuta, scriptwriter Takahashi Natsuko and Okubo Masahiro, character designs Ishino Satoshi, and art director Liu Yang (Kokura Kobo). The animation will be produced by SoK, and the production will be produced by ARCH.

The story is set in a galaxy where the sacred star, Mother Planet, is wiped out by a mysterious power, and becomes chaotic in constant conflict. Mother’s fragments have reached various stars in the galaxy and are reborn as a thought body, Galverse.
In order to regain peace once again, Galverse fights against the evil organization, the Space Apocalypse Association, with his extraordinary abilities and natural gal mind, while also getting closer to the hidden truth.

In the advance scene cuts, we could see nostalgic designs reminiscent of the style of the work from around the 1990s. General director Ohira has commented, “I would be happy if this film will be loved by all humanity through the nostalgic look that brings you back to childhood and the indomitable gal mindset of the galverses.”

This work shares the production process with fans, and uses a unique style in which the community is actively involved, including planet names, costume designs, and promotional policies. It’s important to keep an eye on the trends in fan-participating anime.

As someone who started his own career as a freelance animation writer, I thought that the goal of “making large-scale animation with many staff” was a difficult ideal in reality.
However, this time, it feels like I’m in a dream to be able to bring the world I’ve envisioned with so many staff members and a gorgeous voice actor.
