Mizuki has appeared in the official Toei Animation Store as a figure from the movie “Kitaro’s Birth: The Mystery of Gegege.” Reservations are now being accepted until June 8th.
The film “Kitaro’s Birth: The Mystery of Gegege,” commemorating the 100th anniversary of manga artist Mizuki Shigeru’s birth, is a feature-length film based on the sixth season of the TV anime, depicting the origins of the series surrounding the birth of Kitaro. He won the Best Animated Film at the 47th Japan Academy Awards for his portrayal of the former eyed man, Kitaro’s father, and the human Mizuki, for his encounter with the two of them, and his fate to face them.
A special edition of “Kitaro’s Birth: The Mystery of Gegege: The Real Life Edition,” which brushes up the footage and sound of the film, will also be released in October 2024. In April 2025, a selection of TV anime masterpieces, “GeGeGe no Kitaro My Loved All Time Gegege,” commemorating the 10th anniversary of Mizuki Shigeru’s death, has begun.
Mizuki has recently been released as a figure in a total height of approximately 210mm (non-scale).
“TOEI ANIMATION COLLECTION – Mizuki” faithfully reproduces not only her face, but also her expressions and costumes in detail, bringing Mizuki’s calm yet powerful charm into three-dimensional form. The splattered blood splattering on his face, which enhances the realism.
Pre-orders for “TOEI ANIMATION COLLECTION – Mizuki” are now being accepted at Toei Animation Official Store until 11:59pm on June 8th. Reservations within the period include a “postcard” with original illustrations. The release date is scheduled for February 2026.
