The limited-time POP UP SHOP for “Mysterious Yugi,” which marks the 30th anniversary of the anime’s broadcast this year, will be held on the 3rd floor of Ikebukuro P’PARCO from June 5th, 2025.

“Mysterious Yugi” is a manga by Watase Yuu. Currently, “Mysterious Yugi: The White Tiger Senki” is currently being serialized in “Monthly Flowers.” The work captured the hearts of many female readers and became a huge hit. Furthermore, it was made into a TV anime from 1995 to 1996, and then became an OVA. In 2015, it was also adapted into a stage play, featuring Kiyabu Yutaka from Golden Bomber.
The main characters are Yuuki Mie and Hongo Yui, third-year junior high school students, who are about to take the exam. One day, the two are sucked into an old book called “The Four Gods of the Earth Books” that they found in the library, and enter another world. Mie and Yui are attacked by thugs in a world where they are lost, and are saved by Onijuku, a boy with the words “demon” on their forehead. This encounter was the beginning of it all. Mie and Yui pass each other and become hostile. The story depicts the battle between Onijuku, Mie, Suzaku and Seiryu, as they are attracted to each other amidst a harsh fate.

For the event to commemorate this 30th anniversary, anime production company Pierro has drawn new illustrations inspired by the idea of ”celebration.” POP UP SHOP will sell a variety of new products using the new illustrations.

The illustrations depict the main character, Yuuki Mika, as well as Onijuku, Starrynjuku, Yanagijuku, Ijuku, Tsubasajuku, Yo-juku, and Zhangjuku.

The lineup includes “hologram can badges,” “instant photo-style bromide,” “wire keychains,” “big acrylic stands,” “clear file,” “mouse pads,” and “memorial art,” which use these illustrations.

In “Extra Thick Acrylic Blocks,” each character’s memorable scenes from the anime are designed, bringing back memories of the broadcast.
