The TV anime “Sword Art Online” will be holding a POP UP SHOP with the theme of “wedding dresses” at five locations across the country, starting with Akihabara in Tokyo. Merchandise will be sold using original illustrations of five people wearing wedding dresses, including Asuna and Yuki.
The original work of “Sword Art Online (abbreviated as SAO)” is Kawahara Reki’s novel series of the same name, winning the Grand Prize at the 15th Dengeki Novel Awards and has sold over 30 million copies worldwide.
It depicts the exploits of the protagonist Kirito, set in a next-generation VRMMORPG, and the first volume of the original novel was released in April 2009, and TV anime has been broadcast for four series since 2012. It is a huge hit content that has developed a wide range of media mixes, with movie versions being released after 2017.
Asuna, Yuuki, Alice, Leefa, and Sinon. Five people will appear in a gorgeous wedding dress, “Wedding Dress Ver.” The Sword Art Online POP UP SHOP 2025 will be held in Tokyo, Osaka, Miyagi, Fukuoka, and Aichi one after another, and the first pre-sale merchandise has been announced.
The first product, which uses original illustrations, comes in 7 items in total. There are two types of tapestry, perfect for interior decoration, including the “Large Acrylic Stand” that allows you to enjoy wearing a gorgeous wedding dress. You can choose from the size you like.
If you’re going out with your character, you can find an acrylic multi-key chain or a 65mm can badge, and if you want to stick it on it anywhere you like, an outdoor sticker and a mini sticker set are available.
The Sword Art Online POP UP SHOP 2025 will be held at the Tokyo venue, Grand Entertainment (1st floor of Akihabara Onoden) from June 7th to June 22nd, 2025. The event will be held from June 28th onwards from the Osaka venue.
