The TV anime “Forgetfulness Battery” has released new merchandise using original illustrations with the theme of “band” and newly drawn POPArt. The “Forgetful Battery” POP UP SHOP IN TOWER RECORDS” that handles these will be held one after another at Tower Records’ Shibuya store, Abeno Hoop store (Osaka Prefecture) and Fukuoka Parco store from May 2, 2025.
“Forgetful Battery” is a TV anime based on a high school baseball manga by Mikawa Eko, serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ and has been viewed over 300 million times within the app. The characters are attractive in their unique setting, the protagonist who has amnesia, the drama that depicts the realism of high school baseball, and the exquisite balance between gags and serious elements. The first season, produced by MAPPA under director Nakazono Mato, will be broadcast from April to July 2024, and the production of the second season has also been decided.
Among the new merchandise used in the new merchandise, the original illustrations feature Kiyomine Yaruka, Yokei, Todo Aoi, Chihaya Shunpei, and Yamada Taro wearing suits in their own image colors. He also picks up guitars and basses, creating an atmosphere that seems like a live show will start now.
POPArt also features colorful T-shirts, and four of the five people who appear in the original illustrations, Tsuchiya Kazuki, Kunito Eiichiro, Makita Hironobu, and Kirishima Akito joined them. It expresses a more gorgeous and grand atmosphere that is typical of a band.
