It has been announced that the TV anime “Machine no Marie” will be broadcast from fall 2025. A teaser visual and teaser PV have been released in conjunction with this. Information on the cast and main staff including Toyama Nao, who plays Marie, Ishitani Haruki, who plays Arthur, and comments have also been announced, as well as from Higashiyama and Ishitani, and original author Akimoto Akiki.
“Machine-no-Marie” is a romantic comedy based on a manga by Akimoto Akiki and is woven together by Marie, a former genius martial artist with little expressions, and Arthur, the heir to a large family. This film depicts Marie, who has a misanthropy, serving Arthur as a “robot maid” for certain circumstances, protects Arthur from assassins who attack him every day and completes his duties. It’s a heartwarming comedy that will make you laugh and cry, in which the master-servant relationship begins with lies and eventually develops into unexpected love.
The teaser visual that has been released is a side by side with Marie and Arthur, depicting the misanthropic Arthur as he pleases Marie. In the teaser PV, which was his first animated footage, Marie is shown feeling nervous every day, saying, “You should never be found out you’re human…”
The cast of the two main characters along with the visuals and the PV was also announced, and it has been revealed that Toyama Nao will play Marie and Ishitani Haruki will play Arthur. The production staff will be directed by Nishimura Junji, with Kunisawa Mariko in the series composition, character designs Kikuchi Yoko, and music by Takanashi Koji and Johannes Nilsson. It has also been revealed that ZeroG x Liebel will be responsible for the animation production. Higashiyama, Ishitani, and the original author Akimoto also commented.
The TV anime “Machikake no Marie” will be broadcast from fall 2025. I look forward to more news in the future.

Q1. Could you tell us about the appeal of this work?
It’s a slapstick romantic comedy! I’m excited by the love that is gradually nurtured under the absolute condition of “Don’t be found out as a human.” It’s always supposed to be at odds with danger, but there are some laidback moments that make you feel thrilled. But the most important thing is that you can feel the warmth of wanting to cherish someone and being cherished.
Q2. Could you tell us your enthusiasm for playing Marie?
Marie is expressionless, but her heart is fussing with joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness, and I always find her hard work and cute. Even though others say that she’s like a robot, what she has at her core is warm, kind and serious. The pureness of her love for Arthur is so attractive that she is so attractive that I would like to cherish her and cherish her.
Ishitani Haruki
Q1. Could you tell us about the appeal of this work?
Marie looks expressionless and emotionless, but has a very human heart, and Arthur is unable to believe in humans and usually wears a mask. The process by which the two of them gradually become truly connected, is supposed to be a serious worldview, but it is depicted in a somewhat pop and comical way with the lively characters around them. The expressions that the two of them suddenly show at key points make me feel love is great. Also, Marie is cute. It’s very cute (important)
Q2. Could you tell us your enthusiasm for playing Arthur?
It’s comical, but I hope he can hold his core as Arthur. She’s cool but looks cute, and as with Marie and other characters, she’s an emotional character whose expressions change dramatically over the course of episodes, so I’d like to use a lot of drawers to express myself. Personally, I’m looking forward to this role because I have never played much of a main role.
