Mukai Osamu, who plays Kongming’s live-action film, reveals, “The MVP is Miyano Mamoru, who plays MC Mamo”! Comments full of respect have arrived

The live-action film “Paripi Kongming THE MOVIE” will be released on April 25th, 2025. Mukai Osamu, who is the lead role in this film, has recently received a comment praising Miyano Mamoru, who hosted the role of Mamo, the MC in the music battle festival scene depicted in the film, and who greatly livened up the audience with his skillful conversation and beautiful voice. “Paripi Kouming” is a manga by Ogawa Ryo, based on the original work by Yotsuba Yuto, currently serialized in Kodansha’s Young Magazine, and has been popular with a cumulative circulation of over 2.4 million copies. When it was made into a live-action TV drama in the fall of 2023, the characters’ intense, authentic songs and live scenes sparked a stir. “Paripi Kongming THE MOVIE” has received a huge response, with the final episode, reaching number one on social media trends, and will be scaled up and returned to the screen.

For some reason, Zhuge Liang (Muichi Osamu), a genius military strategist from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, who was reincarnated in modern-day Shibuya, is captivated by the singing voice of amateur singer Tsukimi Eiko (Kamishiraishi Moeka), and together with her, she aims to achieve peace in the world with the power of music. Meanwhile, the biggest music battle festival in history has been decided, with three leading Japanese music labels competing at the top.
Kongming and Eiko will also be participating in a place where a variety of strong artists from each label gather. However, the two of them are siblings, Sima Jun (Kamio Fuju), and Shin (Shin), descendants of Sima Yi, the greatest rival of Kongming during the Three Kingdoms era.

Miyano Mamoru plays the role of Mamo, the MC of MUSIC BATTLE AWARDS 2025, the biggest musical battle festival ever held in this film. The filming of this battle festival scene actually attracted 6,000 spectators. Miyano hosts the venue in an environment similar to a real music live performance, and plays the role of bringing the venue to its peak.
Miyano began working as a child actor, and since making her voice acting debut in 2001, she has been active in a wide range of works, including anime, games, and foreign dubbing, and made her debut as a singer in 2008. On the other hand, Miyano commented, “When I received the offer, I felt that it would be interesting to be appearing as the MC, but since it was filmed like an actual live performance, there was a part of the filming that was not used in the movie, so I thought, “This is a real MC, not a MC!” (laughs), but I thought it would be a good experience for me.” Although he was surprised by the unexpected role, he revealed that he felt that this role could be an opportunity to open up new ground for himself.
