New products from the TV anime “Magical Knight Rae Earth” are appearing one after another. Pre-orders are accepted through the online shopping site “Chara ON!”
“Magical Knight Ray Earth” is a story of adventure in another world brought to you by CLAMP, known for its Cardcaptor Sakura, xxxHOLiC, and Tsubasa -RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE. At Tokyo Tower, they suddenly come to visit the social studies field, and Shido Hikari, Ryusaikai, and Hououji Temple styles are suddenly invited by Princess Emero from another world, Cefiro. This story depicts the fate of three girls who become legendary “Magic Knights” in order to save the captive princess.
It was serialized in Kodansha’s shojo manga magazine Nakayoshi from 1993 to 1995, and was adapted into a TV anime with the production of Tokyo Movie (now Toms Entertainment). Under the direction of Hirano Toshihiro (now Toshitaka), the character design was Ishida Atsuko, the monster mecha design was Yamane Yoshihiro, and the art director was Ishigaki Tsutomu, and it was broadcast from 1994 to 1995. It has been announced that the 30th anniversary of its broadcast in 2024, and that a new anime adaptation project will be launched.
The merchandise released this time uses pictures from the anime version of the 1994 broadcast. It depicts not only the “magic knight” of light, sea and wind, but also the demons (robots) Rae Earth, Celes, and Windham, which can only be ridden by Mokona, Clef, Ferio, Primera, and even Magic Knight.
