“The Old Man in the Countryside Becomes a Sword Saint” is an anime based on a novel by author Sagasaki Shigeru and illustrator Nabeshima Tetsuhiro. The original is a popular series with a total of over 7 million copies sold, and the story follows middle-aged swordsman Beryl Gardenant (CV: Hirata Hiroaki), who is a dojo in a remote countryside, and is appointed as a special guide to the Kingdom Knights, with the encouragement of his former disciple, and ends up facing various powerful enemies.

[Synopsis]
Surena, a former student and highest ranked adventurer, visits the Knights to rent Beryl.
The request was to train new adventurers and lead them.
Beryl goes to the Adventurer Guild to ask for details, and is asked whether he has the ability to match his request, and ends up standing with Surena to prove it.
